Top25 State School for Cricket

We are extremely proud to announce that The Cricketer magazine has once again voted us as one of the top 25 state schools for cricket in the country, as per their Schools Guide 2026.

This is a true testament to all of the hard work, commitment, enthusiasm and talent that the school community put into the yearly programme. When you consider that over a 1000 schools have entered the new MCC under 15's state school only cup competition, it really does bring this achievement into perspective.

The Cricketer magazine, founded in 1921, is the sport’s oldest and the world’s most respected and best-selling cricket publication. Last year a separate category for state schools was created in their Schools Guide for the first time, with Chis and Sid featuring in the Top25. All entries are judged against an extensive set of criteria, which included a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching.
