Sextortion on the Rise

AI-enabled sextortion is on the increase, where a person doesn't even need to share an indecent image, it is created by AI. Furthermore this is happening  with users aged from 11 years upwards.

To understand what it is, recognising warning signs, what to do and more, the Internet Watch Foundation have put together a great information page which would be useful to parents HERE.

NHS England is encouraging young people to unfollow inappropriate activities and to not engage in harmful content on TIKTOK that are harmful to them and their social environment

Please check the phone of your child regularly, as the bill payer and therefore  responsible  to monitor the content and share any safeguarding concerns
