16-19 Bursary Fund

The Discretionary Bursary Fund for 16-19 year olds is a fund to help young people facing financial barriers to stay in education and training.

There is also a 16-19 Vulnerable Bursary Fund for students who are currently in care, are care leavers or are receiving any of the following in their own right: Income Support, Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Universal Credit, Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payments.

Year 13 students who qualified for the bursary in Year 12 will need to re-apply in Year 13 as their circumstances may have changed.  Free school meals are only for eligible students from Year 7 to 11.  Sixth form students who were eligible for free school meals up to Year 11 are invited to apply for the bursary in the same way as any other student.
