Our school has impressive purpose-built recording studios, dance and drama studios and a full lighting and sound system, which are all used in lessons as well as our famous music and drama productions. Perhaps our most superbly equipped and stunning building is the 'QB' Art and Technology block (named after Sedcopian Sir Quentin Blake), where students can take advantage of art, design and technology workshops.
We are committed to the promotion of artistic, cultural and sporting excellence. Our renowned alumni include the illustrator Sir Quentin Blake, international fashion designer Richard Quinn, the actor Matthew Rowland, who has appeared in West-end productions of Cats and Matilda, and Matt Harris, whose recent credits include Disney’s Beauty & the Beast. Recent school leavers have progressed to study Music at St John’s College Cambridge and the Royal School of Music, or have gone on to professional cricket, football and rugby careers.
To support budding talent at CSGS, we offer several sixth-form scholarship programmes in Art, Music, Performing Arts, and Sport.
